The Futurliner made an excellent platform for taking the Gospel to rural parts of the United States, Mexico and Central America. On one end it contained a piano and on the other an organ. It generated it's own electricity, could provide ample outdoor lighting from the overhead and provided a stage for the speaker.
In this photo the speaker is standing on a platform in front of the stage. If the audience was on a steep incline, such as a hillside, the overhead door blocked their view so the speaker was moved forward of the stage. The backside of this picture has a note written by Oral Roberts. It states, "Our Cathedral Cruiser traveling among the Indians and Spanish people -- bring them the gospel through films, literature and testimony."
This picture was taken December 6, 1960. Don Spiers is preaching in Mata Redonda, Vera Cruz, Mexico.
The backside of this picture has notes indicating that it was taken in February of 1960 at the A. L. Auditorium. It also mentions Ronnie Roberts and the Youth Groups of Oral Roberts.
