Power Plant Display

According to Mr. Zink, this was a Winton Diesel Engine. This generating system not only provided all the electrical power for the Parade of Progress but it was one of the most popular displays at the show. Mr. Zink also represented Cleveland Diesel Engine, Detroit Diesel, Electro Motors (GM Electro-Motive Division (EMD) still in production today). He supervised the construction of the diesel engine exhibit at Fleetwood. Photo supplied by Bernard A. Zink

Bernard Zink is the individual with the writing on the back of his coveralls. This exhibit was set up in a tractor-trailer rig, unlike the the next generation which was installed in a Futurliner for display. Photo supplied by Bernard A. Zink
