There was a great turn out for the Cedar Springs car show. Cedar
Springs is about 25 miles north of Grand Rapids. This show was very
special to the volunteers as Raffee Johns, a former Parade of
Progress speaker, was on hand to share the day with them. |
Raffee Johns was able to repeat the dialog that he shared with the
crowds back in the '50s without any trouble. Mr. Johns has has
donated a lot of memorabilia to the project. |
Mr. Johns provided insight and answered questions about what it was
like to travel with the GM Parade of Progress. |
The souvenir tent and Futurliner are set up for the show. |
Because of the close proximity to Grand Rapids, we were able to
bring out the engine and generator display. The Cedar Springs show
allowed us to set up all of our displays. |
Volunteer
John Wissink showed up with his "Moxie Mobile".
Attendees saw some very unusual and rare displays at the show this
day. |
