The Futurliner appeared at the Sloan Museum Summer Auto Fair in
Flint. Crowds were hungry for a peek at GM history. The inset in the
above photo is of the Feature Car Award which was presented to Wayne
Jackson for the Futurliner.
This is Lois Savage, daughter of Robert E. Bingman, designer of the Futurliner
project. This was the first time she saw a Futurliner and
commented that she felt close to her dad when she sat in the cab. It was
quite a moment for her and her son Bill Savage.

Batts presents an autographed copy of our Futurliner book to Tim Shickles,
Executive Director of the Sloan Museum. The book will be placed in their archives.
The Sloan Museum provides an outstanding setting in its park-like
atmosphere for viewing the Futurliner and other vehicles on display.
The Sloan Summer Automotive Fair is a fun-filled two-day show with
plenty of music, entertainment, vendors and of course, automobiles!
The Flint Cultural Center campus becomes home to more than 600 of
the best looking cars, trucks and motorcycles around.
