During the course of this restoration a 1957 Buick was donated to
the project. A decision was made to clean up the vehicle and sell it
to provide funds for the Futurliner project. It was an original car
and needed some TLC. However it ran good and is unusual in one
aspect. It came from the factory with a stick shift. Almost all
Buicks in the "50's" were equipped with a Dynaflow. It was
eventually sold to a local West Michigan Buick enthusiast.

The driver's seat frame was restored at the beginning of our
restoration process by Dean Tryon in North Carolina. It was
originally installed without any upholstery because we needed it in
place. Over the years the frame has become scratched. Today it was
removed and Connie and Art sanded out all the scratches and
repainted it. Again it looks great.
