Del Carpenter pulls the Futurliner out of the warm work bay for a mid-December photo shoot.

Jeff works on wiring the light bar. When fully raised it illuminates the entire Futurliner and surrounding area. The light bar is powered by a 110 volt generator which runs off the engine.

A view of the partially raised light bar.

John Betts (pictured above) from Retro 1-2-3,  and an associate, visited the Futurliner and took extensive photographs and measurements. John sells high quality, scale model toys and is being asked to manufacture a model of the Futurliner.

These are armrests on the driver's seat. They will undergo restoration soon.

Much work remains to finish the wiring and interior. The Futurliner is like building a house -- there is just as much work to finish the interior as there was putting the outside shell up.

Jerry Sigler cuts re-enforcing bars for the gull-wing doors.

Del Carpenter and Stan Bowers hand-fit pieces of the exhaust system together for final installation. The exhaust runs a circumventing course through the Futurliner and exhausts out the roof on the right-hand side of the vehicle.

Del would like us to think he and Stan are bending and shaping the pipe by hand -- not!
