There were two different style hubcaps used.

We are still lacking one hubcap to complete the four required.

Stan Bowers is fixing lunch. Actually, his wife Carol prepared the tasty stew and Stan merely transported it from Kalamazoo.

I never noticed this before but in the corner of Don's garage is this perfectly good lamp, quite suitable for display and use in any upscale living room. It appears to be quite shapely, I mean in good shape, and one has to wonder why it was banished to the garage and not prominently displayed in the living room window?

Dick Saddler doing some work on a drill.

Tom Kuhlman and Del Carpenter mount a tire in preparation for the journey to Valley Truck Body Shop.

Cockpit and vents are covered up with plastic to keep the snow out.

The Futurliner is hitched up to Tom's pickup and, with Del Carpenter steering, pulled out into the crisp Michigan winter. Del had previously charged the air brake system with air to test them. It stopped Tom's pickup faster than his pickup has ever stopped before. We now feel good about the effectiveness of the brakes!

Merle's trucking brought in a large commercial tow truck with which to pick up the Futurliner and off it went to Valley Truck for its final body finishing as well as final exterior paint.

The large tow-bar is is extended under the front of the Futurliner for the pick-up.

While not looking very attractive yet, the Futurliner has come a long way since the project first began. It is now solid metal and quickly becoming functional. This is where the project really starts to get exciting.

The Futurliner is being towed down Don's driveway to Valley Truck where it will be given its final coat of paint. You can see some of the trim completed on the left hand side.

It's a tight fit at Valley Truck but the driver for Meril's towing slides the Futurliner inside with no problem.
